For the informational use of our websites, we only collect the data that your browser automatically transmits to us, such as

3.1 Storage duration
We delete the data arising in this context after storage is no longer required for these purposes or restrict processing if there are statutory retention obligations (archiving obligations for business and commercial letters).

Processing is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is party or in order to take steps at the request of the data subject prior to entering into a contract, pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR. Alternatively, the processing is carried out in our and your interest in processing your request, pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR.

4 Application Management
We provide online application forms that allow you to apply for positions within the Nippon Express EMEA Group. Required fields are marked;
additional information is voluntary.

We process the data you submit (e.g., CV, cover letter, certificates) to assess your suitability for the position and carry out the application process.
Your application is forwarded to the responsible contacts within the relevant company of the Nippon Express EMEA Group.
Access is granted only to individuals who need it for the hiring process.

4.1 Storage duration
· If rejected: deletion after 6 months
· With your consent for further consideration (talent pool): deletion after 2 years
· If you are hired: data are transferred to our HR system

5 Newsletter
In order to receive our newsletter regularly, in addition to your data protection consent, we require at least your email address (mandatory information) to which the newsletter is to be sent. Any further details are voluntary and are used to be able to address you personally and to clarify any queries regarding your e-mail address.

For registration, we generally use the so-called double opt-in procedure, i.e. we will only send you the newsletter if you first confirm your registration via a confirmation e-mail sent to you for this purpose using a link contained therein. This is to ensure that only you, as the owner of the e-mail address provided, can register for the newsletter. Your confirmation in this regard must be made promptly after receipt of the confirmation e-mail, otherwise your newsletter registration will be automatically cancelled.

Revocation of your consent:
You can cancel your subscription to our newsletter at any time - by clicking on the corresponding link at the end of the newsletter. We use the data obtained in this way to create a user profile in order to tailor the newsletter to your individual interests. We record when you read our newsletters, which links you click on in them and deduce your personal interests from this. We link this data to the actions you take on our websites. 

Newsletter performance measurement:
We would like to point out that we evaluate your user behaviour when sending the newsletter. For this analysis, the e-mails sent contain so-called web beaconsor tracking pixels, which represent single-pixel image files and are stored on our websites.For the analyses, we link the web beacons or tracking pixels with your email address (possibly also with your first name and surname) and an individual ID. 

Revocation of the performance measurement:
You can object to the measurement of success at any time by clicking on the separate link, which is provided in every e-mail, or by informing us via another contact channel. Such tracking is also not possible if you have deactivated the display of images in your email programme by default. In this case, the newsletter will not be displayed in full and you may not be able to use all the functions. If you display the images manually, the above-mentioned performance measurement will take place.

Data are stored as long as your consent remains valid or statutory retention periods apply.

In case of some special events like christmas or anniversaries we will send you an eCard.

5. Applications (Online Forms with Group of Companies)

We have provided appropriate online forms on our websites to allow you to conveniently apply for a position that suits you. Required fields are marked accordingly; additional information is voluntary.
We process the data you send us in connection with your application (including cover letter, CV, and certificates) to assess your suitability for the position (or possibly other vacancies) and to carry out the application process.
Your application will be forwarded directly to the responsible contacts (e.g., human resources employees, directors, team leads, department heads, etc.) of the relevant company within the Nippon Express EMEA Group. The further procedure will then be coordinated. Within the entire group of companies, only those individuals who need access to your data for the proper handling of the application process will have access to it.


5.1 Data Retention Period:
In the event of a rejection or the closing of the vacancy, applicant data will be deleted after 6 months.
If you have agreed to further storage of your personal data, we will include your data in our applicant pool. The data will be deleted after 2 years.
If you are offered a position as part of the application process, your data will be transferred to our personnel information system.


5.2 Legal Basis for Data Processing:
The processing of your data within the context of the application process is permitted for the purpose of initiating a contractual relationship with you (employment relationship) in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit. b) GDPR.
If the data is required after the conclusion of the application process for the assertion of legal claims, data processing may occur on the basis of legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. f) GDPR. Our interest in such cases lies in asserting or defending claims.
The transfer of your data to the company within the Nippon Express EMEA Group responsible for your position is in the legitimate interest of the respective company to review your application and carry out the application process, in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit. f) GDPR.
